you would need some obvious things:

mike to go in the overhead console
BT antenna, to go in the trunk area
probably a snap-on cradle that goes into the central console, with a pairing button
depending on your car's set-up, you might or might not need a Voice Recognition bypass module that plugs in in place of the VR - I forgot the part number.

Even the snap on cradle can be bypassed depending on the year and the setup of the car.

you sure need a mike, and you sure need a BT antenna. Mike may already have been fitted to the car, if you had BMW ASSIST, or if the SOS service...

BT antenna - no way around it, you need that one, so you can pair the BT module to the phone...

The module that you are looking at seems to be around 10th or 11th generation or even might be of a later vintage... it also should have built in VR... depending on how many antenna inputs it has, it could be strictly BT, or BT with ASSIST, orm heaven forbid, it could be just ASSIST and NO bluetooth at all.

Make sure that your seller CONFIRMS that the unit is BT!!!

(this module might belong to a newer x5 .... so might not work for my application at all )

mike - 84316938762. please note, this is NOT the only mike that BMW had come up for the BT application, there might be other ones, better design or quality from BMW. Yes, you can buy it from a dealer

the center snap-on cradle is not much for the snapping in a phone, as that would call for a phone specific module to go into the cradle, but it is rather for the pairing button, which i think on the '02 model, you might need the cradle...
The VR bypass - I think on '02 you would need on, it is not much money... i think, part # 84320144246

Do you have S640A installed?

STOP!!! STOP!!!

I just plugged in the part number for your BT unit into RealOEM and it comes up for E60 and later models, which are NOT iBus cars, they use fiber-optic cables!!!

It will NOT work in E53!!!

Go to this website and review what they have for adding BT to your X. They are very helpful people. This is where I got my set up, and it works great: BMW Bluetooth Retrofit Information

You will proably require a BT retrofit loom to as more than likely you dont have prewired.

Have a look at a DIY.
