I paid $571.00 for the kit, but that included overnight shipping, I was in a hurry to get it installed on the weekend.
The kit included the module, the eject tray, bracket, various screw, wire ties, etc. The instructions were excellent. I had no problem with the install at all. The biggest problem was disconnecting the battery, always a pain removing the spare tire, and removing the oddment tray. Other than that, it was a breeze!
I have to say that both Randy and Calvin were great to deal with. Randy told me that if I ran into problems to give him a call or e-mail and he would help me out.
I did try to avoid installing the eject box because someone told me that I did not have to since I was using a bluetooth phone. Once I installed that everything worked great. Thanks to UCrewX5 for that information.

Definitely recommend them!

Glad to hear that everything worked out and that Randy and company came through for you!

Regarding the pricing, I would assume that kits for X5 owners of prior years could be a bit higher because they would require the additional custom harnesses that you did not. Yours being a 2004, it was pre-wired for everything and the control unit was basically a direct swap of your Assist module for the BT module.

Enjoy Bluetooth, it rocks!!

Awesome, that's great news. I don't think you needed to disconnect the battery. I didn't when I did mine.

Can someone please take a picture of the eject box for me? I am planning on doing this because my 10/03 build 04 only has Assist.

Here is a link to a picture of the eject box and SIA in a 540 on our website - same part as would be for your X5.

Let me know if you want a pic of my MOTO E815 setup in my X5. If you do, I will take one a.s.a.p. for you.

What if my phone doesn't have a snap in adapter fo it? I have a SE K750. What are the parts I need? Price? I have a 10/03 build. I know I would lose Assist right? How do I check for antenna? Thanks.

If no snap in avail.,and it doesn't look like their is one for that phone, then you can still have fully functional BT, you just can't use the cars charger or antenna.

Hey Greg, I looked for it but don't know what I'm really looking for besides the wording. Can you take a picture of this when you have a chance? And what else do I need to look for?
