I'm a french lucky owner of a beautiful X5 but I wonder how I could listen to the favourites MP3 songs (played through the DVD player) directly on the speaker of my car?? I can hear perfectly my MP3 (or movies) with the headphone connected to the DVD player but it annoying to use headphone instead of listen directly to the speaker. If anyone could help me on this, that would be GREAT!!! Thanks in advance, Averoez |

If you have a 2003 or newer radio module, you could use Aux input to pipe the sound from the DVD player to the vehicle sound system. That's what I do with my setup.

Here's a write-up from one of our members on installing the AUX input on his X5 - http://www.xoutpost.com/stereo-systems/4850-installing-aux-input-x5.html
Once the Aux is installed it's just a matter of connecting the DVD player via a standard audio cable.
