DSP amp upgrade

No, not the usu post. I have a stock, 06' DSP/NAV, 4.4. I would like a little more power without speaker change out. Can I just add an amp? If so which brand/size?

im not sure you can add an aftermarket amp to use on the bmw stock subwoofer. I think your best bet would be to install an aftermarket amp and subwoofer in the back. That Will give you a lot more low end bass the stock system does not provide.

there are lots of different amps out there, some very powerful and some that only produce a minimal amount of RMS power. I currently am running an Alpine MRD-M501 Amplifier used to power my two 10inch Diamond Audio subwoofers.

Some good brand name amps are :

alpine, jl audio, DLS, dynaudio .... the list is endless

Let me ask you a few questions. Are you looking for more bass response, louder overall volume or better clarity? We have a few options for you but I'd like to know what you want to acomplish with the upgrades.

I would like the system to push maybe 1/4 to 1/2 half again
than where it is. I have Sirius and the head unit just does not seem to
bring out all the music. Some tones seem muted, but seems like you
could push it through with a little more power. Think I'm crazy yet?
My XM music before just seemed more full. Make any sense?
