Just some new MODS still in progress

So I've got some time to spare and wanted to take some pics of some ongoing mods AV related in the car.

My FAVORITE MOD to date is the Tire Pressure Monitor you see in the 1st pic. I've got 20" HRE's and with these NYC roads, I have had at least 3 outer halves replaced ! While I would still prefer a stronger whell *RAC group buy*, at least it can be rebuilt... I used to religiously check my tire pressure at least 2X a week. With low profiles, when you're out of air, it goes by REAL quick.

With this TPM, it tells you pressure per each tire, temps, etc. What I LOVE about this unit is the alert function. You basically can set thresholds on when the alert is to go off, and I set mine to alert me whenever the pressure hits below 30 per tire, and max at 40 as well.

Getting the sensors on the wheels and then Mounting a LP tire onto the wheel CAREFULLY without damaging the sensor is the hardest part of this mod. It took my wrench monkey some time to do it.........and get the process down to a science.

More blurbs to come but enjoy the pics. For those wondering....I debated on a million layouts, but the spare is gone. The 3 amps were a TON to weigh, and even with a false floor, it would have been impossible to lift up without some linear actuators. Maybe Revision 3 of my install will have some motorization.

Looks great. I have been thinking about TPS for a while... maybe one of these days.

Interesting design on your pillar mounted mids and tweets. I don't think i I have seen that in an X5 before.

NCX -If you are a NUT like I am about TP, ya gotta look into it. I don't have them on my winter tars---thus no readings in the pics I posted, but man are they a lifesaver on these DAMM hre's. The HRE's are like a 3rd wife.....always looking out for them and keeping the pressure in check and knowing if I got a flat, and the air is rapidly decreasing, etc etc !
