Digital DSP, Sirius and CD Changer?

A final nugget of information which may prove useful -- the car this tuner came out of didn't have DSP (I happen to have the amp that came from the same car). Does that determine whether it switches from digital DSP to analog DSP?

And lastly, what should I make of the fact that there's no 6-pin connector? How will we be "creating" one?

The Sirius Analog Cable in post #6 is your new 6-pin connector. This will insert into the empty pin sockets in your radio tuner plug - we'll show you how to do this.

The additional amp is not needed - your correct one is just fine.

Thanks for your help in getting my system up in running. I installed the new tuner (replacing a round pin C43? tuner), using the cables found here:

I was surprised that the first cable required both the black and white connectors to be hooked in, but it turned out it was required to have the nav voice working.

Since I'm working with Digital DSP, there was only one of the silver connectors from the older tuner harness connected. I also went ahead and added in the factory aux in at the connector as well, and that works.

But, as you surmised before I started, one of the two things you indicated happened -- the digital coax cable looks like it turned off and the CD changer no longer works.

At this point, I just want to get my CD changer working again -- is the cable you mentioned sufficient? (Even in light of the fact that I used the retrofit cables?)

Will I be jumping out pins from that connector and putting them into the current connector going into my tuner? Does it prevent me from having the factory aux-in?

From your posts in this thread, I gather I'll need to order this to get my CD changer working again:

You've got the correct links listed, get those 2 cables and you'll be set. Afterwards, you'll have the CD Changer and Sirius as separate modes.

The VSM can easily be added at a later date.

Got the part in the mail, and from the looks of the part, it looks like I need to add pins into the existing white connector from that retrofit cable. Think you could help me out re where these pins should go? Should I call EAS or can you PM the info?

Sure. On the small black 12-pin plug on the radio tuner, you will insert the pins into the following positions.

Red/White - Pin #4
Blue/White - Pin #3
Brown/White - Pin #10

Afterwards, you'll be up and running!

Pins 3, 4 and 10 on the black plug look like where the aux in plugs in as well. Should the aux in red, blue and brown pins be placed elsewhere?

My mistake - these will need to go into the CD Changer ports, You were given AUX.

CD Changer Pinout (White 12-pin plug):

Red/White - Pin #8
Blue/White - Pin #9
Brown/White - Pin #2

Couldn't have done it without your help! Looking forward to the VSM's coming back into stock, and my setup will then be complete...
