Okay I have located the amp and disconnected the plug. I need to find out what wires are for what. I found the amp wiring here http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...icle&artid=128

but it shows the wiring diagram and colors, but not what it is for. I need a right and left rear + -, power, ground and amp on and off signal....the sun is going down and I am unning out of daylight.

By the way I have an 05 4.4 no no nav, no dsp , no cd changer, just the cd head unit in the front dash.

NCX, thanks for the info on the amp conn. Today is the first chance I'll get to take a look. The demisions of my sub is 13"Hx10"Wx5.5"D in front. The notch is 3" deep. Oh yeah, the internal vol is .36

That is a sweet looking box. It look so great that I might even try to attempt to replicate that, but my wood skill is kind of limited Is that a 8" or 10" woofer?

Since you don't have NAV or DSP, You need to print out the 3 images from the bottom of that page and paste them together to give you a complete diagram. All the information you need is on that page...look closely at them again. The wiring diagram DOES show the colors AND THEIR INTENDED FUNCTIONS. That's the exact wiring diagram that I have used sucessfully about a year ago.

In the diagram (or your wiring harness), you want to look for:
*Signals TLH+/- are for the rear left woofer, which translates to BROWN (-) and YELLOW (+).
*Signals TRH+/- are for the rear right woofer, which translates to BROWN (-) and BLUE (+).
*The Turn-on wire is ANT, which is WHITE.
*Power should be grab directly from the battery or from the white distribution box and it should be fused.
*Ground should be tapped to BARE METAL as close to where you mount the amplifier as possible (preferably less than a foot long).

Thanks for all your help and the compliments. This one is an 8". 10" is next. I have a Kappa sub left over from a previous project. Feel free to clone. I was asked to post a thread of my changer in the center console install and if anyone is interested, I'll do the sub build as well. Tomorrow and Monday are my days off, so I can work on it then.

Please do the sub build write up. I'm trying to figure out if there's enough room to do one for a 10", but it might be on the tight side since most 10" subs require a minimum internal volume of .65.

Yep...So Cal is the place to be and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Unfortunately, so does millions of others that have the same view

Thanks to all the posts and info here, I have everything hooked up. The trial run was just fine. Going on a hollywood video run for the road test. Tomorrow, I'll be tidying up the wire octopus and tweaking things a bit. The fuse rack may need to be isolated(there's a small rattle during load heavy bass licks). I'm not even sure it will be heard once the cover panel is finished and fitted. I'm off to eat up some asphalt and rattle the windows.
