Does your text display has underscore instead of a space?

The original firmware that my IceLink came with had the underscore. The latest version that I reference above now has a space instead (the space is much better, IMHO)

Cool

New firmware works great on my 2005 4.4 with Nav and DSP!

So far it appears to have fixed the following issues that I was experiencing with the older versions of firmware:

1. Drop to radio (so far so good)
2. Volume reduced momentarily during the first couple of seconds of playing a new track
3. Unable to get the settings screen after selecting CD#6
4. Intermittent text display
5. Unable to use other Nav/Computer functions when text is displayed on Nav screen
6. Poor sound quality on certain songs

Thanks to everyone at X5world for staying on top of Dension and thanks to Tom for getting this fixed before moving on to a new endeavor.

Cool

Not necessarily. But it is an easy process to update the firmware. UCrew has supplied a link to the files and instructions.

Exclamation Update CRASH!!!

So after carefully following the instructions, I initiated the FW update. The Icelink ran for over 30min in "update mode" with no reset. Decided to disconnect the ipod from the cradle, at that point the system continued to recognize the the icelink or Aux input when scrolling through the mode button. Next replaced the ipod into the cradle hoping for the update process to begin again, instead the icelink was no longer recognized by the X5.

Any ideas on how to recover the icelink or reinitialize the system???

I'd recommend contacting Dension's tech support, but my guess is you'll need to return it to them to have it fixed.

Yea, this update does work really well!!!
Anyone, know if the OBC display will work in parallel with the Nav display, and if so is the "old" update file from 2.07 the proper approach? I don't want to screw-up the lastest update features, but it would be nice to have the OBC scrolling as an option to toggling the Nav screen.

No way for both to work at the same time, only one at a time can be displayed.

I just got my Icelink module back from Dension (after a failed 2.07 to 2DB2 upgrade), they loaded it with 2B2. Is that the same as 2DB2 or do I have to try to upgrade to 2DB2. With the version I have it only displays partially on the ODB (flaky) and does not display on my NAV, but I do have the new playlist, album, artist menus.

2002 3.0 X5 NAV, BT.
