Connecting Ground cable to Negative Battery Cable, it will be ok?
since I'm having very annoying engine whine noise, even my radio is turn off, I'm trying to re-grounding my cable, I've tried two other spots already, but no luck. so I was thinking to connect ground cable to negative battery cable directly. will it be ok? it won't damage my battery? Thanks!

Yes, you could connect a ground cable directly to the battery without a problem.
Whine is usually caused when the radio and amp are not at the exact same ground potential. One technique you could try is running a new ground for both the radio and amp to the very same point.

As posted above try the negative post first. As he said you can combine or ground at the same point to kill off unwanted noise.

I've installed RCA Ground Loop Noise Isolator, and I don't hear noise anymore!

i think i will try the negative terminal as a ground for the amp as well, as I have the same problem. I prob need the isolator too.

Another one with terrible ground noise. SO annoying. I wonder if the car has enough grounding points under the hood or if some improvements can be made?
For now, I will get the ground noise loop eliminator. I am sick to death of taking my car apart.

I tried the ground noise loop eliminator, it didn't work. I think the crossover that I mounted in the door is picking up interference from the ecu (or whatever it is) located on the passenger side kick panel. I am going to try to relocate the crossover and see if it works. I am only getting noise from the passenger side.
