Exactly, you can have two of the "same" vehicles and follow the exact same routing and one picks up noise.

You also have to confirm your battery is good, your alternator is good etc. If you have a bad/dieing battery and the alternator is trying to charge it up you can introduce noise. That is just one possibility and there are many others.

Let us know how the noise issues goes with the new box.
