The Tuner Module doesn't use this CD audio because it's in DSP mode (in YOUR car). by the way since you and tjj figured out the way to bypass the dsp amp have you been sucessful in adding the rear channels control by tapping into the plugs on the radio tune than routing it to the rear amp?

You said the Icelink would work with out the coax cable. Well, now I have nowhere to plug one of the Icelink cables. This cable is the one that carries the audio, because it is where the dsp kit made its' connection. So how do I get the audio to the tuner module now?? Please help.

I kinda doubt it, but I think Dension might have it.

I thought that it was already there, but the DSP car I am working on didn't use a coax... sorry about that.

Can anyone help with a part number for the BMW analog cable? My dealer is very clueless.

We just spoke on the phone about this issue - the part you need is not available seperately for the X5, but can be retrofitted from a Z4. The audio systems are essentially the same as far as wiring goes.

The cable will have to be routed from the radio all the way back to the cargo area - if you have Navigation, congrats - you just saved a LOT of time since the tuner is in the spare tire well.

Here's the part number in case anyone else is interested:

84.11.0.150.525 - Extension Cable - $18.25

Edit: Since this is going to be used for the CD Changer input - I believe it should be on the right hand side, not the left. The left hand side is the AUX portion.
