Can you tell me how it would interface/look on a BMW with Navi? Any chance you have any screen shots of how the text support would shake out? I have a 2006 X3 with Navi and DSP. Not sure what the software version for my Navi is, still trying to figure out how to determine that through some of the other threads on this site. LOL

Thanks!!!!
We have a volunteer w/ NAV coming down shortly and will be posting a video when completed.

Ok, so I might have a couple of questions. I understand you can stream your music using bluetooth but can I make calls with the module thru the radio. Can I used the same Dice Radio interphase with the module or do I have to re-run wires (BTW Thanks Tom for all your help in installing the system).

Thats a fascinating accessory.. My question is about the 1500 it has the abillity to do bluetooth thats very interesting, you also said it announces the song wow my carputer used to do that... But since my X already has a OEM bluetooth what happens between the two.. Meaning I have to disconnect my OEM BT module completey? Will the steering wheel controls still function the same for the bluetooth? Will I be able to still use R/T for switcing between radio and bt functionality and finally it mentioned mic.. Will i have to remove my bmw OEM mic or add a cheap looking mic over top my sunvisor.
The 1000 sounds better but like i said I just want the bluetooth streaming and music announcement. Install guide pdf available yet?

The Trunk harness used is different than the silverline units - it will need to be replaced.

The factory bluetooth has a bit more options than the MediaBridge version - particularly with the phonebook. If you are already equipped with OEM bluetooth - I would recommend using the BMW version instead and the MediaBridge for the other options.

Will the DSP unit on my current Silverline work with the Media Bridge? (2005 X5). My current Silverline does not charge my iPhone.

The DSP module can be retained, all other pieces will be replaced with the MediaBridge kit.

You will also restore 3GS charging after installation.

Is there documentation detailing bluetooth functionality? With phone pairing, how are calls initiated and answered? Is this done directly on the phone, or can this be done on the head unit controls (or steering wheel controls) that communicate back to the MediaBridge, which then communicates the commands to the phone via bluetooth?

An online copy of the owners manual can be viewed here: http://diceelectronics.com/support/f...ual_021110.pdf

Question...

I know this is an older thread but this may be an answer to all my questions... I have an e53, non-DSP, non-Navi, OEM-Bluetooth... I really want streaming of music via bluetooth as in the MediaBridge, can I have the MediaBridge set to only stream the music and keep my OEM-Bluetooth phone functions? and if so when I order it through you will there be instructions on how to do so???

thank you
