I would definitely do the update, a number of bug fixes (and internet radio) have been featured since then.

Sorry if this has been asked already--didn't find it on any of these pages on this thread but I have the 1500 installed, had my BMW mechanic do it and the bluetooth for calling does work. It wanted to go through my android phone using Vlingo in car. My questions are this:
1) do I have to use a third party app like Vlingo for bluetooth to work?
2) When the radio is on and someone calls me, the bluetooth does not work--it didn't stop the radio and annouce the phone call. In other words, my phone rang but it didn't work through the bluetooth paired with the radio.

I have a 2001 330 convertible with the navigation. Any help would be most appreciated. I don't know if my mechanic did a software upgrade on the Dice. He mounted the module underneath my dash board underneath the steering wheel--close to the floor pedals but you can't see it. So I don't know how to access it to do the software upgrade. Is there a better place to mount it? The cables are routed through my ash tray.
Thanks.

Hi Tom,
Not sure if it was the power unplug (as suggested) or the firmware update (also suggested).....as I did both at the same time.....either case, I am now re-connected and all is working as it should. thanks.

I would recommend contacting DICE to speak directly with a technician on your issue.

DICE can be contacted at 888.342.3999 or by email at DICE Electronics LLC - DRIVE | LIVE | ACCESSORIZE -Support.

tom - planning to order now for my wife's X3 & want to be sure i get the right thing.

it's a 2008 with no sat/nav and an OEM in-dash CD player. the car already has bluetooth, so i'm assuming the 1000 vs. the 1500?

what determines whether i buy a trunk vs. radio interface? thanks.

Unless you plan to play music from a USB stick, I would say simply go with the less-expensive DUO. All other options are exactly the same as the MediaBridge 1000 units.

Choose the trunk interface method, your connections will be underneath the center console storage bin, it's literally a 10-minute install at most.
