I wouldn't worry too much about the quality of the Alpine changer as they're built rock solid. Most problems that you would most likely encountered (noises, etc...) are due to the converter interface itself. I've heard complaints about both, Blitzsafe as well as Soundgate. 1. I have the Alpine CHA-S634 changer with the soundgate adapter and that setup is working great for me. The quality of the Alpine changer should be as good if not better than OEM (the OEM changer is also made by Alpine).

6. The Alpine CHA-S634 changer should mount perfectly in the factory location.
