Stock X5 sound system - I want to upgrade!

I have an 06 X5 diesel with the basic stereo unit and TV/Nav dash unit.

Any suggestions on the best and most cost effective upgrade to improve my sound system????

Cheers

I added a 12" sub to the truck and it makes all the difference in the world. Its a very simple way to change the entire sound of the stock system. I still have the stock radio.

second that comment....I added the JL audio amp and subwoofer package and it makes a huge difference to my non-dsp. To do it right, everyone says to go the BSW route (aside from doing a custom system)

Bsw don't do anything for a stock setup. So the sub option sounds good!! (excuse the pun)

Any suggestions on the nest way to go?

Ditto! changing the speakers & adding a sub (even an 8" sub) makes a world of difference

unless I'm (we're) talking about something different, you can upgrade your speakers. If you're talking about the head unit....then I dunno

You need to search the forum for more inof. Depending on what options you have there are different ways to hook the sub. Mine is a non-DSP and so hooking the sub was very easy. I will send you a picture of the set up and wiring. I bought the amp & sub and had the stereo shop wire it up for $100.00
It's not that difficult but at the time I was clueless.
