I bought my 60gb one just before New Year and I now have about 5000 songs, 3500 digital images and 43 videos (a mixture of films and 1/2 hour sit coms etc.) and the iPod still has about 25gb left!
The music, operating system etc is the same as my 1G iPod, but the films and digital pictures are outstanding. The other day I rigged it up to my widescreen TV and watched a slide show to shuffled music for a couple of hours. I can't remember the last time I actually looked at the photo's I've taken and the quality was acceptable. I have another 8000 digital pics to go on the iPod but haven't got around to including them yet and on an ongoing basis it just updates when you doc it.
The only issue I have is you don't get a mains powered adaptor as standard

, you have to use USB and I bought the black version which is already starting to show minor scratches. I have just ordered scratch covers which should help. I also bought the desktop doc, AV cables, remote, camera adaptor so accessories start to add the £££'s (or $$$'s!)
I'll use it a lot on holiday and in the car everyday, and although Apple don't want you to download your own films etc, there is software around that allows you to do just that so can be used as a mini DVD player real easily.
Bit of a boys toy, but worth it
