Tino - i don't know what i am doing wrong.
i just now, literally 2 minutes ago, downloaded
GifExtractor V1.5 - 2006-02-23 i saved it to my
c:\program files folder. i run the app., click on
Find File, locate my navboot (C:\My Documents\BMW Files),
click on Extract and i get the error -

"An unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click
Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.
If you click Quit, the application will shut down immediately.

This device is not ready."

what am i doing wrong? Gif Extractor V1.4 - 2006-02-21 works fine.

I am puzzled. I traced the code but I can't find an error.
Did you check 'read "complicated" gifs'?

Maybe some language problem? Did you develop this on a German Windows/.Net?

at first i didn't have that checked off, but i just
tried it again, w/ it checked, and it still failed.

i'm getting this error as soon as i click on extract.

edit - keep in mind, this is w/o a CD in the CD-ROM drive.
when i insert a CD, the error then changes to "Access to path "d:\test.gif" is denied."

well, that did the trick. don't ask me how i was
managing to download V1.5 because i really don't
know. anyway, i now have version 1.6 and i am
able to extract files. thanks again!

2Wires - quick question. should users now be
checking off the "read complicated gifs" box or
is that when u only have the disappearing issue?
