If Acura can make it work, BMW can make it work.

I have it set at 5k downloads. I will check my bandwith usage at that point but I have a feeling I will be fine.

I have found that this works well for people based out of Europe. For US based people you might be better off using this link:

Worked perfectly. Downloading the darn file took longer than the rest of the process.

A buddy of mine has a cooper S with Nav. Can I use the same cd to do his car and he will still have the mini logo at startup? I noticed when I got the new version of gif extractor there is a new option that says read "complicated" gifs. Once I checked that a Mini logo came up in the list. Does that mean there is a pointer in there to tell the CD image loader if its a mini or a bmw? Can he still use the same disc I have where I edited the navboot file to contain an M5 logo, or should I get a fresh disc? I want to make sure he doesn't end up with a Mini M5.

I think you'll need to use the gifextractor program to swap the BMW logo with the Mini logo.

If you use the original V27 release (i.e. not one where the spash screen graphic has been changed), then it will work just fine on your buddy's MINI (assuming that his MINI has a newer DVD-based MKIV nav unit and not an older CD-based MKIII nav unit that is). I've unpdated my own 2005 MINI Cooper S with V27 (that was downloaded from the link given here on x5world) and it works just great. The MINI logo still displays just as it should.

I hope this helps some...

Is there something you have to do to make the Interstate shields appear? After updating, I get this instead: (sorry for the lousy focus)

...which wouldn't be so bad if it said I-84 instead of I84E.
