M Power, have you used another CD or the same one?

Has anyone taken their car in to get fixed with the problem I have had and what did they do?

Did you make the CD's from your computer? Have you tried doing it from another computer or getting it from ebay?

no need to recode

Ive had my MK3 crash several times with the cd inside, with version 23, 26 & 27.I managed the eject cd after pressing for a while de cd button,
After The nav had no power led & did not show on the menu....
I unscrewed the unit, lean in down at an angle, insert v27 cd and after several tries the update menu came back on , unit started working again and cd was eject. Everything back to normal. I must say I was playing with the machine for 3 days, trying to swap languages, downgrade, upgrade etc..

MDEF, did you receive a message there was an error and that you should remove the disk and select OK after you tried to upgrade your nav?
And did you see the "navigation" menu on your screen when your nav was dead?
And finally: what steps did you take so that you were able to boot from an older version? If I understand you correctly, your nav did not boot every time from an old cd ...

Thanks,
Tom
