Somebody suggested to downgrade and after that upgrade the NAV OS which supposedly fixes it, I will try it tomorrow.

Didn't want to start a new thread, so I'll post it here.
When I use 2005-2 DVD release, it's all good. It shows arriving time. When I swap the DVD with the newest 2006-2, it shows --:-- pm.
How weird...

I do not have a copy of 2006-2 DVD yet, so I do not know if it will work with 2006-2 DVD...

Have you figured that out? I upgraded to V27, popped in 2006-2, it was --:--. Downgraded to V26 (which I like better) and it was still this. Then I swapped the DVD's with 2005-2 and it worked. I am using 2005-2 now.

I have not figured it out yet.
I only have 2005-2 DVD so I have no way to test it with other DVD.

I have not tried v27 since I do not see much improvement over v26.
I am looking for 2006-2 DVD now so when I get it, I will try it out.

2005-2 DVD was available on torrent but 2006-2 DVD is not.... NavTec wants too much $$....

okay.. today I was able to burn 2006-2 DVD and tried it out in my X5, the map worked perfect but still --:--......

I am still running v26 and since my wife has a lot of addresses stored in the Navi, she does not let me upgrade to v27 yet.

When I get around to upgrade to v27, I will let you know again.

Maybe I should clear this with you that my '03 4.4i X5 did not come with the Navi, I did the virgin Navi upgrade by myself and when I asked how to resolve --:--, a few people told me that it had to be re-coded by dealer but I have not done that yet.

OK, I performed the same steps you have, and got --:--, that's why I'm still using 2005-2. V27 didn't help in my case, i'm curious if it will help you...

I am using 2006-2 and getting the arrival time --:--

If I use 2005-2 the arrival time works fine. I have Nav ver.27 and had the Navi recoded by BMW. The recode does not fix this problem.

Is there a problem with the 2006-2 DVD? I am using a 'backup', of course - not the original.
