You will also need the trunk-mounted board monitor radio module. Make sure to get one of the "New Generation" flat pin radio modules that is 2003 or newer. The reason is that the harness from a 2004 MY car has the newer style flat pin radio plug.

Does the radio module have anything to do with the boardmonitor display? Or does the blue connector go straight through from the GPS brain to the monitor?

I'm worried i may have wiring harness issue since my bordmonitor comes up with a white screen when I turn on the car.

I am going to try and test it with a multimeter that all the pinouts are working. I noticed the blue plug for the nav brain is larger than the one for the monitor. I didn't count the pins tho.

I also checked fuses are fine. I just don't get it. I think white monitor screens mean no or bad connection.

I just tried ohming the harness out with car battery disconnected and I am getting funky readings using a 1.5V aa battery. I am getting voltage readings on some of the other pins that I shouldn't be. Also there are 12 pins on the monitor end of the blue connector and 18 pins on the other.

What gives?!
