Hi
Could someone with an X3 with nav help me out - I've retrofitted nav and new flip up monitor but I only see the black BMW logo splash screen when system first starts after battery has been disconnected. There doesn't seem to be any way to "turn off nav competely" Is a factory supplied X3 with Nav the same? Kind of surprised you guys go to such lengths to hack the splash screen in v27 etc if it's only seen after power is interruped through a battery disconnect ??? Thanks David |

When you unlock the doors with the key fob, the computer starts. So by the time that you sit in the car and turn the key, its already on and booted up.
(splash screen only turns on when the computer is starting up)... An easy way to see the splash screen is to leave the car unlocked for a period of time (so that the computer shuts off - I think its 30 mins). Opening the door has no effect on the computer's bootup, so by the time you sit in the car and turn the key, this time computer will have to boot from scratch, thus allowing you to see your splash screen... |

nav computer went in standby after 90 sec. turn off completly after 15 min. then the boot(!)logo is available again. it's ab bootlogo, not a open-door-logo.
