Playing DVDs

since i have the Nav system in my car, is it possible to play DVDs. the dealership said "no" but i don't know if i believe them. in the back of my car where my 6 Disc CD changer is located, there is a suppose DVD player in which the Nav Disc goes into. so i tried to put a movie into it and play it but it didn't read the disc. so is there anyway?

No, the nav computer will not play any type of video or audio CD. It only understands the map data disks.

However, you can add video to your car with either the OEM BMW TV/Video module or one of the aftermarket video input modules. Then, you just need to connect an external video source, like a DVD player.
