See the start of the thread. The only different file is the ENG.LSC file.

Thanks in advance

I was going to ask the same thingwith the files ideally placed in the correct directory structure so they could be drag-and-dropped onto the DVD. At least that way it would be easy to determine how to update the disc moving forward.

I know lazy.......

I've downloaded the latest database in asc format yesterday and converted it to asc11. I still have garbled text in the list of cameras on the nav screen but they appear in the correct plasces in the map. I never had a problem with 2006/2.

Very odd.

i just downloaded the asc2idxurl_mk4.exe from the ntlworld downloads page from richardp1. when running the command promt i type the location where the *.asc file is located and it comes up with a error saying no *.asc file to process. both the asc2idxurl_mk4.exe and the *.asc file are in the same folder and i followed the example to create the idx & url file.....

Anyone know what im doing wrong??? Thanks

I Think all the .asc file must be in the same dir as the asc2idxurl_mk4.exe...

ive only got 1 .asc file labeled pocketgps_uk_sc and its in the same directory but it still says error no *.asc file to process. Could it be a problem with the mk4 converter?

The mk4 convertor works fine.

Put the .ASC files in the same folder as the convertor.

Open a command prompt and change to that folder using the CD command.

Run the convertor from the folder in which it and the ASC files are located.

thanks i tried that but it still won't work, in the command prompt i type the following:

c:\asc2idxurl_mk4.exe CAMERAS(name of .asc file) : CAMERAS.idx and CAMERAS.url

both the mk4 converter and the .asc file labelled CAMERAS are in the root of the C:\ drive

ive also tried them in a folder in the root of the c:\ drive an changed the command promt to

c:\CAM\asc2idxurl_mk4.exe CAMERAS(name of .asc file) : CAMERAS.idx and CAMERAS.url

but this still won't work... am i typing the correct promt in?
