b_1981, Have a look at the directory structure.

Look under, information, Places of interest, items by location, car. The speed cameras should be at the top.

<group>
TPD-GRP 2 70 200 300 500 600 700 800
TPD-GRP 70 104 551 557 7522 750 5540 7897

<cat>
TPD-CAT 70 Y Car
TPD-CAT 104 N SPEED CAMERAS

If you want the speed cameras in a different (higher) location, then move them to say

TPD-GRP 2 70 104 200 300 500 600 700 800

This will put them on the top level, (probably, but I havent tried it, I'm happy where they are).

Rocky, what are you finding difficult?

Just follow the instructions and use the eng.lsc file (above) and you will have the converted disc, if you don't want the hassle, then have a look on ebay and buy one for approx the £25 mark.

However, since I'm a nice guy, I've uploaded ALL the files needed to create the modifed disc, (only the extra files needed, not the map disc, this you must have or get yourself).

1: The eng.lsc goes into </TPD/nccBeu_eu_20060803/ENG/>
2: The 0079.idx and 0080.url go into </TPD/nccBeu_eu_20060803/ENG/TABLES/0>
3: The sf_cameras.htm and st_cameras.htm goto </TPD/nccBeu_eu_20060803/ENG/SE>
4: The CAMERA_SPLASH.JPG goes into </TPD/nccBeu_eu_20060803/ICONS>
5: The POI_CAMERA.png goes into both </TPD/nccBeu_eu_20060803/ICONS/NAVI0X> AND </TPD/nccBeu_eu_20060803/ICONS/RR>

Just drag and drop the above files into the correct directories using UltraIso (or similar) and thats it.

The speed camera database is the latest, nov 2006, and is for the UK only.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JSXD7769

Hope this helps

P.S. if you have a modded 2006 disc you can still use the the above files to upgrade your camera database (just dont use the eng.lsc file, this one is for the 2007-1 disc only).

CCFJ1.

I'm not living in UK as many others on this forum and I was thinking that the files you uploaded must be OK to use in any country as lon g as you change the files in step 2 to your countrys camera positions?

Where is the POI_Radars.PNG supposed to go ? Its not mentioned in your post.

Is this correct or must I change some of the other files as well?

You are correct, just change the 0079.idx and the 0080.url file with the converted speed camera database for your country.

If you have a non-english language system then you must create the .htm files in the correct language (as well as the YOURCOUNTRY.lsc file), although from what I can see, they are all almost identical.

Some one?

Cant get the navi to read my .idx and .url file that I'm creating.
I get the selection of speed cameras but when I hit the search button nothing happends

I'm downloading a asc file, the lines looks like this;13.27147,55.53639,"K108N01-90"

I'm converting these ones to "TomTom ASCII (*.ASC)" with POI converter.
Then I run this file with the asc2idxurl_mk4.exe to get the .url and .idx

Then I'm just following the instructions as from ccfj1.

Only the files that you want compiled into the .idx and .url must be in the directory, otherwise the compile might fail

Create a directory with only the asc2idxurl_mk4.exe and the pioconverted .asc files in, then run the command asc2idxurl_mk4 ENG CAMERAS

c:\temp\asc2idxurl_mk4.exe ENG CAMERAS

This should create the correct files, remember to rename the top line in both the .idx and .url file to the correct .htm file.

If you are still having trouble I can poiconvert and compile the .idx and url files (and mod the name) is you want me to. you just need to send me the raw .asc file.

What do you mean? I just rename the 2 files to 0079.idx and 0080.url. Is that not right?

This might be one problem. Iwill get rid of the other files in the directory.

Thanks

Thanks, for the files tobmag,

I think i've found the problem, the .asc file at the site looks like it might have an error, or be in the wrong format.

I've converted all the files using the poiconvertor and compared the output all the other formats (that poiconvertor could use) they all gave the same output except the .asc file, So I think this is why you have the problem, I've converted the OziExplorer.wpt and used that and all looks OK.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XE33ZDZR

I've zipped the idx and url file along with the converted database.

If yo use sf_cameras.htm and st_cameras.htm then you do not need to modify the top line of the url and idx files, else you do.

hope this helps
