Changing splash screen on a Mk3 - here's how

Hi Thorsten

Hard to say , how long have you waited ? normaly it write " Softweart im Navigationsrechner - Softwear wird geladen" , then the screen goes black for some time ( up to a minut ) then the programing procedeur proceed ( hauptsache gedult ! :-) )

But what have you alterd in the softwear ? , just the "start up screen image " ( image must be in GIF format ) or have you alterd somting in the speech fils to ?. , have you used ISO ultra ? ( then it dosent work !!! ) , you have too alter dirictly from the desktop/folder.

Can bee that the CD-rom ( CD-R ) you have burned the Image on , not are good , I burn on Taiyo Yuden CD-R , thy are working fine in all the MK-III`s I have treid them in.

HI,

the CD-Rs, which I have take, works fine with the MKIII navisystem.
I have checked this with another firmware release.

I copied all files from the firmware V28 cd, which have made the latest software V23 to my MKIII, to my computer disk.
Then, I have changed the starup logo to another .gif file and changed the firmware version vom 6.3 to 6.4 - thats all.

Then, I made a mode2 disc with the mode2cdmaker and burned with imgburn.

But when should I use ISO ultra?
