It doesn't matter. Don't worry about what it does. Just reset the settings after the SW load. That's what I do.

I upgraded nav units, they started with default settings, Euro mode, languages D, GB, F. But I don't care, I just reset it to what I want. Easy.

And if you have any concerns about doing it yourself, then don't. Go to your BMW dealer and get them to do it for you.

Its not that... I'm just trying to figure out whats going on! . Some of us just want to mess with the software, not the hardware .
