If you've not had any problems with the Nav rebooting or crashing there are very few advantages in running V29.1 over V27.1.

V29.1 has a slightly better routing algorithm and in ful screen mode some of the fields for things like radio station names are a little wider, but that's about all that's different, apart from a few small bug fixes.

Perspective and Street Names?

Anyone know when perspective for the MKIV will have street names like it does in the iDrive counter parts?

The bottom line is that it probably takes a lot more CPU horespower to display street names in perspective mode.

You do not get street names in perspective in the E65/E66 NAVI02 computer. Street names came available in 2006 with the introduction of the NAVI03 computer. I have not compared the other iDrive CCC computers, but I'll bet that the early E60 systems did not have street names in perspective mode either.

Good Information.. The car that I was using as a comparison was an '06 E65, so that might explain a few things. I just assumed that all iDrive cars had street names in Persepective mode.

According to this thread there's already a v30 somewhere around, but brings no updates for MKIV
