A couple of questions.

How can I tell if my car has "Auto Emergency Call"? (So that I make the right choice in NavCoder)

If a car is produced after 9/03, should we leave the "Show Arrival Time" choice blank or checked?

Why can't the voices be changed from female to male (I don't really want to do this, just curious).

When running the program it states that it's NavCoder v2.0.19 and in the "Help" pull down menu, the "About NavCoder" selection states that the program is version 2.0.19. I thought there was a 2.0.20 ?

This program is AMAZING. Well done!

Oops, thanks. I have just uploaded the correct v2.-.20

Sorry for that, that's what happens when you are tired!

I disable male voices for Mk4s because they are not supported on the OS disc. If you look in the OS disc V_2\Voices\0506\ you will see the male voices were last updated in 1998 (USA=2001) All other voices were updated in 204/2005.

So if you selected male, there would be some navigation commands missing... as they are not in the voice file.

You can select male if you want, just change the nav type from Mk4 to Mk1,2,3, then the voice selection is enabled.

Great! Thanks for the answers to the voice questions.

Regarding my other two questions...how can I tell if my car has "Auto Emergency Call"? (So that I make the right choice in NavCoder)

Thanks!

If you have the phone fitted, feel free to switch auto emergency call on. You'll need to set the SMS number etc in the nav Service Menu

If you have a Mk4, leave 'Show arrival time' clear. But it doesn't matter - set it and code the nav. if it works, great. If not, clear it and recode. Try and see is easier :-)

Colin, NavCoder allows you to code you nav yourself. Load different languages, program telematics settings, set split-screen for radio on/off, set region to us, Europe etc etc.

Have a look.

Try increasing the timeout value to something even as big as 1sec

I use around 900ms

If you still get the problem, cut and paste the contents of the ibus msg window after a failled coding attempt and send to me for analysis

Jochen
