Cannot read or code Nav in X3 using Navcoder

Have just connected up the Resler i/f and managed to code my TV module for 'in motion' in my X3.

I attempted to read the Nav coding and get an error - nul string returned. So I installed a Mk4 I have from my E46 and get the same error. Same error is returned when coding. I have a logfile.... wonder if KiwiJochen can assist??

It can find the Nav when doing a scan, but just won't read or write to it - which is a pain as I wanted to swap the Mk4's over as the one from my E46 is newer and seems to read non-original DVD's whereas the one that came in the X3 won't.

Wonder if anyone else has had a similar issue.I am running Navcoder 2.0.16 but will happily upgrade and pay for the latest version if it will work OK - I also want to code my VR

Hi Trapdoor,

What version of windoze are you using as you may require some dll's for it to work properly, although you have had it working (the TV in motion stuff), hmm, its an old version on navcoder, it might be an idea to go up to 2.1 and see if that works then 2.2 (for the BT/VR stuff).

2.2 seems to sort the issue - I can now read and code both the Mk4's, which is nice!

Just awaiting the reg code from KiwiJochen so I can have a go and see if the VR will activate - well worth the 20Euro if it will, and possibly needing a new ULF if it won't (I can't see what is on the label without taking the ULF out so don'tknow if it is 'mit SES' or not)

Will do - am awaiting my activation code. Needless to say, Demon Mail is broken (again) so even if Jochen has sent it, I can't get at it to try.

Gonna have a go tomorrow now.

Ulf is a

Part number 6 945 387, version HW 09, SW 09, made by 57 on 32/04 (August 2004)

as reported in Navcoder, so that is a gen 5 and should(?) have VR as standard ... we'll see. Am quite excited!

Cheers,

Mark.

Hi Jochen,

Thanks, but this morning the damned email is still down (Demon Internet get worse by the month).

Will update on the VR when I get the email and get to the X3 with the laptop.

Cheers.

Mark.

All done and dusted. Working 100%

Sooooooo easy with Jochen's fab application.

Perhaps he should consider offering a 'commercial kit and license' to BMW dealers
