Just to clarify..

If you do not have an iDrive car, v30 will not update your nav system.

Do I have an iDrive car? My car is BMW 320D nov 2003 with MK4 4-1/91 n.t. FY34072.

No, the (2003 320D) E46 is not an iDrive car.

You already have the latest SW version installed, so V30 will not change anything for you

No, all E46 cars are NOT iDrive cars.

The iDrive is the large, round controller that is on the centre console between the front seats.

E46 does NOT have iDrive

v30 *IS* for the E46, but if you already have v29, there's no need to bother to update, as v30 brings nothing new.

Same thing for Europeans with v28, there's no need to update as v29 only contains some small fixes for USA.
