RDC-TMC (US) compatible with MKIV Navigation?

Hey folks! I'm new to x5world, and this is my first post. I don't exactly have an x5, but I've been a veteran of E46fanatics for a little while now with my '03 330cic. Anyways, I've heard that this is the place to come for MKIV based navigation tweaks, and I have a question for you gurus.

Clear Channel is using a format for TMC called RDC. It is broadcast through the FM radio much like I've read about in some of the European posts. I'm curious if this would be something that is useful for us US residents to retrofit our units to TMC? This is new for us (1-2 years) whereas, TMC has been available in Europe for quite some time. I don't know much about the protocols or if much is involved with the retrofit, but I thought I would throw this out there for the thought of still keeping some life into these old units.
