Hello. I spend most of my time at M5board and Bimmerfest's Z4 section, but have been referenced here due to this board's vast knowledge of BMW Nav systems.
My problem is very similar to docukost's: http://www.xoutpost.com/navigation-sy...-gps-lost.html Although mine started after a jump-start a few months ago. For a while it would correct itself when driving, but after a dyno run when the car "drove itself into the ocean" it has stayed in the deep blue. I've tried leaving it outside with the key in R, but I saw no sat icons on my primary Nav screen. Also, for some reason, it drained my little Odyessy 680 battery in only 15 minutes (no, my lights were not on). Before you go blaiming the battery bear in mind that this combo worked perfectly for about 6 months, prior to the jump start. Although, like I said, the problem was not 100% apparent immediately following the jump start. Here are pics of my Coupe's Nav data screens: Does anyone know where the GPS reciever(s) is located on the Z4 M? I will check for loose connectors... p.s. I really want to get the Nav working before MFest this weekend! If you guys don't already know about it, all BMWs are invited (Laidback is the organizer): http://www.m-fest.com/ Last edited by Palantirion; 03-04-2008 at 01:39 PM. |
