Nav Question

Hello

I have a question
I have a 04 X5 with Nav.
I just started to use it and have a question?
when I try to input a destination it will except the city name okay then when I highlight the Street,, and press the right knob , it does nothing?
it will not allow me to enter a street name. I don't even get the letters to enter a name on the screen?

Not sure if i am doing something wrong or is there a issues with my unit?
the area that i wanted to input is very old area and is on the map

It can be that you dont have detaild map of that area

Thank you,, It a major road on the area. But it could be just not detailed enough

Is it just with that city? or always?
What version Nav Disc do you have?
And what SW version (See 'Set' rightup corner)

If you put your nav in split mode (dual screen) and drive on that street, withouth navigating anywhere, do you get the street name in the right side of the screen ?
If not than your map is not detailed for that area, if yes then i dont hav a clue why you can not acces streat name for that area

I wonder if you have a bad map disk? What version do you have (there is a year printed on the disk)? And, is it the CD or the DVD map disk?

Hello

Its the DVD Disk that came with the 04 X5.
it allows me to put in the town name okay
but when i try and high lite the street,, it does nothing?
i have put in other street names and numbers for other areas
