MK4 Nav Frozen Screen-Newbie

Hey guys,

I only have a quick minute to post this up, so if i should search let me know, but help would be appreciated.

I have a (early MY) 2005 X3 with MK4 Nav (with original V24 OS) and the wife was driving this morning and i went to program in a new destination for her (while on the highway). Essentially the screen froze, i am stuck with the "Input Destination" screen. The Radio will work (sound only), the Nav Screen is froze as mentioned. Now if i had a traditional computer i would just "re-boot" but since the car even when turn on and off, constantly supplies power to the Nav there isn't a reboot. Here are my thoughts:

After work today i am going to disconnect the battery (negative terminal) to perform a blue-collar reboot. Is there an on/off switch on the DVD based Nav unit to execute a reboot of the system w/o killing all the electricty to the whole car? Think the negative terminal trick, will do the trick? I am still under 4/50,000 warranty so i can take it in, but i have no time this weekend.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot,

Jon
