Mostly MK3 died because of using Mode1 while burning the image
some more reason 4. corrupted files (incorrectly modified) 5. corrupted/not correct navi software 6. errors while programming 7. disconnection of power (dead batery) 8. interruption of update process 9............. 10000000 other reasons which even could not depend from you actions....
