I found it was excellent for the following reasons:

3. It was super easy to install. I fitted mine in my glovebox.
Does the a/v in have the same limitations as TV viewing when the vehicle is in motion?

Yes, and the disabling of the cutout can be done just as easily

On some X5 and 7-series, they were cabled to a 3.5mm connector on the rear of the centre console, labelled "AV"

The AV inputs are wired to the white connector on the video module.

See pinout here:

I have the Intravee and also have the AV in/out to the tv.

This is my setup, using 2 ipods (1 for video and 1 for the IV).

CCJ,

Please explain in diagram form exactly which components are required to achieve your set up.

Thanks

You don't really need a diagram mate, get the bits below (or similar), I got my bits from ebay.

BMW AUX TV input lead BMW AUX AV INPUT/OUTPUT LEAD
Ipod AV connector : AV CABLE, TV Lead for Apple IPOD
RCA Av lead : 5M Triple 3 X RCA Phono AV
RCA Joiner: Triple RCA Phono Coupler

Then Install the BMW av lead between the cars loom and the TV module, connected the 5m triple RCA lead (red, white and yellow and ran it down the side of the car to the glovebox) and connect the coupler to it then the ipod (via the av lead).

I'll have a go at a diagram, give me a minute, here yer go.
