Yes. I connected my iPod Video to my BMW nav system to watch movies.

I used the AV-IN connection of the TV system, works well.

Only had to fit the cable from iPod to AV-IN, that's all.

Hello, What cable did you use and what type of connector has the bmw tv module. I am buying aftermarket ebay AV in box using rca plugs, where is a ipod dock conn to rca?. I are those common for all the video ipods out there?
I found a link that shows how to use a AV 1/8 inch to three rca cable like camcorders use but it is FOR AN IPOD which apparently accept three way plugs as well as standard two way stereo, But the iphone uses three for mic connection. So did you use dock signal or headphone jack??
thanks, and I can't wait to have the internet on my nav screen (or does it just output videos played??)

I found an ipod docking cable to 3xRCA (yellow Video, red and white Audio) and 12V power/ground at a local stereo/computer/appliance megastore.
It was a generic, non-apple, non-Denison cable.

Docking cable, so my iPod charged as well.

It outputs whatever the iPod outputs on the docking connector - on my iPod Video it was the video signal. Dunno what the iPhone delivers, try it on your TV at home.

plus shipping so this is not probably the best source, but I assume this is it?
Yes I can't wait to see what the phone outputs, it probably does not output the screen, just video proper. I don't have a video ipod so I don't know. I will be home tomorrow and try to find one. I have been to radio shack and best buy and circuit city trying to find an audio dock out cable with no luck. I have read it works better for AUX inputs than the usual headphone jack out to aux
Anyone bought either audio or video DOCK out cable in a national store or mail order?

No good for my iPOD Classic 80GB then

1. Video output supported for 5G iPod video and iPod photo only.

Thats exactly the same cable I used for my ipod.

I found it was excellent for the following reasons:

1. The cable is small, thin, and black and thus unobtrusive

2. It supplies power via a fused connection, so it charges the iPod, and is protected by the fuse

3. It was super easy to install. I fitted mine in my glovebox.
