I will keep an eye out for newer MK4 models as I search for my replacement. Thanks.

I will update once I obtain a MK4 unit.

My early MKIV is at 4-1/100 with no trouble. I have posted all MKIV P/N info links on this forum tonight. 22 P/Ns. There are 2 more but I'm not sure they are real.

Hey Guys. UPDATE: I purchased the MKIV and I have the two connecting cables. Question: Most of the reconnecting is simple (as I just have to match colors), but on one of the connection plugs, there are 3 black wires on it. Does any one know what each is? or better, if anyone knows where I can find the wiring diagram for the Navigation harness?? I've seached this forum and others with no success.

I have full wiring diagrams.

But just tell me plug colour and pin numbers of the 3 wires, and I'll tell you what goes where.

Hey KiwiJochen. It is the blue plug. I apologize for not knowing how to remove the housing unit for the plugs, so I cannot tell you the pin numbers right now. What I can tell you, is that the 3 black wires I am trying to figure out, actually are connected to a smaller black (1) and clear (2) cable which is connected by different colored crimps. The colors are red, white, and blue.

These diagrams should help you. If you need more info, just ask.

Update: Good to go! It's up and working, but I feel that I'm not done with this problem just yet. Question: Along with the blue and red plugs, does there have to be another plug like an antenna wire plugged in?? I am still experiencing issues with static radio signals & the navigation is putting me way off the map (It seems to me that the Nav unit is not getting updates).

I believe I am missing something, because I still have a single wire that seems to have been cut also along with the cd connectors & Nav unit connectors.

You should have a black coax cable, around 3 or 4mm diameter, with an SMB coaxial connector on the end. This is the GPS antenna cable.

Needless to say, without a GPS antenna connected, the GPS won't get a GPs signal
