I have got finally S/N values between 5-15 from 3 satellites at the same time at its best. Waited for 30mins, but no help.

Status seems to be OK, Seaching is what I can see in the display.

Menu says "Almanac on" all the time. Is there anyway to confirm if it has been downloaded; or does this mean that it is?

Let's continue the struggle..

Almanac "on" means obviously that its been downloaded. Taking the - connector out of battery for about 5mins lead to GPS Receiver again showing HW and SW versions differently and almanac was set to "off" position. After 3mins I got GPS position lock and after 20mins of driving almanac was showing "on" again.

Thanks for all good tips here, anyway my case here shows that SW update might jam the GPS Receiver somehow.

You mean... you used the V32 OS disc to load 4-1/100 on the Mk4 nav... :-)

(v3.2 doesn't actually exist)

Hi all,

I just upgraded to v32 from v27 or 29 (can't remember). It says updated, now running version 10? 4-1/10 - is that right?

This is on a E46 323i with mark4 computer, DVD, 16:9 nav.

Also, is there any way of getting full post code search? I have 2008/1 Europe High disc.

Thanks,

Peter

Yeah, says 10 though

Will wait till v33 is out and try again I guess. Already tried reflashing but didn't make any difference.

Strange, since there never was a 4-1/10; first one for MK 4 was 4-1/12. FYI, there likely won't be a newer version. It's old technology and BMW has already moved on to the new system.
