Hi ...

I had a problem with updating the new firmware. The firmware was 4-1/12 before updating.

The MkIV took the CD and said it was updating, but the screen went blank and nothing else happened. The Nav player would sound like it's busy every few minutes but nothing is happening.

What should I do? Restart it?

Problem solved.

Make sure that you are using reliable CD-Rs. Works miracles.

No. It only works for the I-bus navs.

And V32 also works for the 7-series E65 / E66 / E67 / E68 iDrive navs

Or at least for the early generation iDrive navs in the 7 series.

They have the NAVI01, NAVI02 or NAVI03 (depending on age)

Remember, the V32 disc works with all of the following navs:
Mk1
Mk2
Mk3
Mk4
NAVI01
NAVI02
NAVI03
