Hi all, i have a slightly different spin on this problem.....
The reason i have been trying to do this upgrade is because i have got a new 2008/2 Professional Europe DVD. I am currently running 2004/1 High in a 2004 X5 3.0d facelift.

I followed all the instructions and eventually managed to download v32. I installed it into my car and voila! I now have 4/1/00 with slightly smoother fonts and even perspective view!

Here's the rub. My new disc wont work!!!! It just keeps saying incorrect disc. My old one still works tho.....

Is this something to do with it being a professional dvd instead of a High dvd like my old one?

EDIT!

Scratch that, ive found the answer on a different thread.

Professional is for idrive, i need a high......... oops!

Also, i still dont appear to be able to enter a postcode. Is that something i will get if i eventually get the new dvd to work?

Thanks for all te advice on installing the os update. Worked a treat for me!
