What does the NAVI03 do btw?

Calculates your position based on reception of GPS signals
Reads a map disc and then places your position on the map
Calculates routes from where you are to where you want to go
etc etc

It is a navigation computer, the same as what we have become accustomed to since 1994 when nav computers first start appearing in BMWs
