Thanks to everyone for offers of their disc, or download site.

My issue is that the DVD player will not read copied discs - probably the laser being a bit shaky. So I need an official BMW disc.

As mentioned, I've tried 3 dealers in UK who first quote hundreds of punds, then say that anyway it is on hold by BMNW and not available.

One forum member is trying to use some contacts to source me a disc...

IF you think its a shaky laser, change it. You can DIY and parts are cheap.

2nd Generation MINI?

I have a 08 MINI Cooper Clubman with NAV. I read that this update doesn't work with the newer BMW NAV systems, but wasn't sure if the MINI system is the newer system as well. Could someone provide some guidance?

Thanks.

HELP ! HELP ! HELP !

After lots of trying, I finally got an OEM V32 disc (thanks Roy for sending from USA).

I tried it today, but did not work. I had been suggested to try a DVD version.

I tried that tonight - the system recognised it - hooray - 1st time that has happened.

I got 1/2 way through, and it came up with an error message. I clicked OK, and the screen went black.

I now have a black screen, and a MKIV with a disc stuck in it. The eject light is lit, but does not open. The red power light is off.

Can anyone help? How do I get the disc out? How do I get back to an update screen?

My wife is about to kill me for messing up her sat nav!!!!

please help....

I have looked at that, but the laser works fine for reading the map discs - even copied one. It is only the upgrade discs that don't work.

In reply to another post, I've used Sony, Verbatim and a couple of other discs. Also used discs supplied by experienced members of this form (for which I'm very grateful). None of these work.

"all" I want is to put a genuine BMW disc into my system - and hopefully that will work...

I have a couple of guys from here now trying to source one from me, so thanks to all for their suggestions.
