So, this is what I made.

Thanks to ccfj1 and this thread: http://www.xoutpost.com/electronics/...interface.html
I found the right part numbers for those plugs.

That plug probably won't work. You need a ground wire, a 12v power wire and an I-bus wire. Most people find a 3 pin plug on the CD changer box in the trunk which has these wires. Ground is usually brown, I-bus is white/yellow/gray, and the power will be red/? usually. Yours is probably red/green or red/white.

Hi

Is there a guide for dummies like me of how to use this software? Here is what i've gathered from reading bit and pieces here....

This software will allow me to activate Incar motion for my TV
Able to turn on Blue Tooth function (don't i need the bluetooth module first?)
Able to programe/play around with lights, windows
Clear faults
Monitor sensors
What else?

What i've done:

Download the Software
Contacted the author, soon to pay the subscription fees
Get USB interface to use with new laptop (one that don't have RS232 ports), which one since my car has DSP?

Where next?

Where do i plug it into the Bimmer?

Thank you

Yes you cannot activate functions on hardware you don't have.

You cannot code the windows and lights or monitor many sensors I think, and the fault reading is not as complete as a program designed for diagnostics like INPA. If you want those things then install INPA.

You plug it in to the CD changer 3 pin connector. Do not plug it in upside down by mistake, this can lead to permanent damage to your new USB adaptor.

Realistically, what's the chance for my car to have a Bluetooth module plug in already as my tv has phone button on it?

None. Everyone got a phone button either on the Boardmonitor or the steering wheel, or both, doesn't mean you got a £600 option fitted.

If you have a TELEPHONE option in the Boadmonitor options then that's a different story. You have some phone hardware that might be upgradable to Bluetooth either via HW or SW.

Anyone has pic of the screen in Mono and in colour after the option is selected with Navcoder?
I got my Navcoder and still waiting for the cable to arrive.
