Problem with sat nav screen!

hi, i got a mini cooper with an mk4 dvd unit in it and usually wen u open the door ie unlock the car, the screen turns on with the mini logo and wen u turn the car on the sat nav goes into the main screen.

lately that initial screen turn on with the mini logo isnt happening and the screen now takes about 1-2mins to turn on. Although the sat nav is working behind the blank screen cus wen it turns on, all the buttons iv pressed to 'wake it up' have registered and i end up in the consumption section of the sat nav lol

does any1 know wats the cause of this?

shall i update to v32 cus i think mine is 27 or 29 i think!

thanks

Sounds like the screen computer is loading the boot file slow, the dealer probably has a fix for it, usually programming. Is it under warranty?

Nit that I know of... But if it is just a program/software update it should just be a couple hours labor charge. Might not be that bad... Did they give you a price estimate?

SW update to 4-1/100 would take about 10 min at most. You can down load the Ver. 31/32 and burn it yourself.

Yeah try the OS upgrade first, pretty simple to download V31 or V32 off this site.
