Hi guys, I've just tried to update my MKIV system on my 2004 X3 with the modded v32 ISO image. Oh boy...nasty noise...black screen and it won't come back...dead...put maps back in and also my old V32 upgrade CD which worked but just get a black screen...

Is there a way to reboot the system?

Hi Tony,

Don't know what you have done wrong mate, but it sounds like the disc is corrupted somehow, there is no way to "reboot" the system per-say, you will need to update the OS with a known goo version of OS.

Try using a v29 or v30 (as a mode2, just in case).

Cheers back up to V32 and a modded version...now just to get the maps sorted...blimey this is complex!

The modded version of V32. Does that have the camera voice stuff added? so all I need to do is add the map iso that I've created with the latest pockeworld gps camera POI using pimp-my-nav and all should be good?

Well mine does, not sure about others.

PMN does not make the alerts work, thats used for non alert POI, you must use POISon to add the cameras to the carindb for the alerts.

I want to modify the german version.
Changed so far:

- Splash Screen
- Night View
- some Icons.

Problem now:
Changed some menu points to alerts on/off in german context but it has the same function as in factory when i used it...
How can i also make the Speed Cameras as an Menu Point, so i dont need do navigate through all these Menus?

what should i do to make it work?

You also need to change the language files around and add the alert to the German voice file.

It all explained in the start of the tread.

I have done
A: OS Software modification
and
B: Voice modification
taking the german voice file.

or do you mean i have to rename the voicefiles to gb?
