BM54 back question

Hello, i,m new on this forum, i try to put together a navigation retrofit on my e46/2002 limo, i have a BM54 radio module with this numbers on it: 65.12-6 933 455, AI:01, EC:109, KW:45/06. I found some info about this version of bm54 that is a backward compatible (this bm54 have round pins) for bm24, please tell me if the unit can work with 16:9 monitor and mk4 comp unit, it was on a e39 sedan with 4:3 mon, mk2 comp unit, tv module. Also, i want to know if this radio module have aux in.
Thank you in advance!

Yes it will work with the 16:9 monitor and Mk IV Nav computer. TV module may be a problem with the 16:9 if quite old, some will work but with the wrong aspect, some don't sync correctly and so flicker.

Not sure if the round pin BM54 has Aux in, I'd guess yes as it was made in '06.

bm54

Thank you very much for answer, Richard, for the tv module, i want to use a newer hybrid digital/analog version anyway, the only doubt was about correct working in 16:9 environment, because of the quite non standard radio module...anyway, i guess i will have enough trouble with the wiring loom...i have round pins in the front where the hu unit is, i don't know if they are some kind of navigation wiring on standard. Btw, some said this version of radio module will not recognize the cd behind the hu ( for the cd version of 16:9 monitor), do you know if this is so?

Thank you again

The BM24 won't recognise the CD, but AFAIK the BM54 will.
