Nav help: please don't kill me

Sorry for posting this, but i wanted to get an answer that was explicit to my situation. And for those of you who will curse and tell me to search previous threads, I don't have time to search through 20 pages of posts of which do not affect me at all. I found this thread, but I didn't 100% answer my question.

http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...ed-update.html

I am on version 4-1/30, so to get up to v 32, do I just put in the v32 cd and follow the instructions on the nav writeup, or do I have to do the updates sequentially (do 24 to 32 one by one)?

Also, if I update to v.32, will my 2004 maps dvd still be compatible, or will I have to buy the new maps dvd?

Also, how does the nav update affect DICE ipod installation? Will I have to reset the DICE module?

Edit: Sorry, should have posted in navigation forum :L
