Thanks for replying manormachine,

Indeed, navtweak looks like it will only allow the 3 colour changes (not the rom_col, wide).

Since navtweak is all I have, it looks like this is all I can do, any help that you can offer or the name of the tool you are using would be great, or a link to a modded image (so I can stop hitting my head against a wall) would also be great or better still, I'm happy to bow out and let you run with this, I was only trying to copy what you had done and I've gone as far as i can.

I have made up a better (than OEM) sky that looks good in both day and night if you want it.

I've made up a few images that will change the 2nd colour set to night mode and I can upload them if people want them but TBH manormachine's looks like its a better image, so it maybe better to wait for his image.

P.S, I've read your posts on both e46fanatics.de and the e39-forum.de and from what I can understand (my German is not great), you have done a fair amount of work on it, good work mate, any idea when you are happy to release it?

Thanks to ccfj1 I have tested this software. So I would like to say the following:

1. As I undestand from your posts it is impossible ro changes colors in rol_com
rol_com - Widescreen color 1 (the problem one)
rol_com1 - Split Screen color 1
rol_com2 - Widescreen color 2
rol_com3 - Split Screen color 2

Am I right? Did you using NavTweak2.7? It can be taken here: http://rapidshare.com/files/22519280...k_2.7.zip.html

Anyway the first color is OK for me. If someone don't like it - it could be changed with rom_col_8 and rom_col_9 (nice green color for MiniCooper)

2. Night mode is nice. Sky is also nice. The one little promlem - streets names cannot be seen. Guess the "mainroad icon text" and "minor road icon text" should be changed in ""Map Colors" menu to lighter color.

Correct, manormachine has as way to change it (but he does not use navtweak).

The 3 above can be changed with navtweak.

Agreed, if you like the green.

Yes, I'm looking into this, I'll try and see if I can lighten the black shadow text to a lighter shade, this will help.

If you have an a colour in mind let me know and i'll use that

I have one more point:
In night mode in map mode if we push the right button we see menu at the left of monitor. So IMHO this blue colour should be little darker - close to the backgroung (now it is much lighter):

The popup toolbox, is the same for both blue and brown and is one of the unaltered values.

Most the colours I've used are blue versions of the brown colour, so the way that I did the conversions was to go down the line and change the brown values for an equal-ish blue, if you can tell me which one of the 82 values it is, I will change it for a darker blue, but currently I would just be guessing, and i'd rather not mess with what I have for a "guess".

The text to map colour key is not exact, but I think I've found the correct values to edit, I'm testing now, I'll send you the updates when I sort them out.

I've managed to lighten the onscreen text for the scale, but the map lettering is not so easy to find, on mine i can read the the text as the letters have a white shadow.

It seems that the colors of the popup toolbox are situated in 2 places:
colours for widescreen/
-toolbox north-west shadow 1
-toolbox p. south-east shadow 1

Ok, some more pics (taken at night, so they are not great).

Changes,

1: Darker menu text.
2: Lighter text on screen for scale reading.
3: darker popup memu
4: Lime green route map
5: darker shade for sea/rivers/water.

Day/Night with modded sky.

Darker popup menu.

Route map (with lime green route, instead of white)

Still testing, but hopefully it will be tomorrow or Monday, I may use the weekend just to make sure it all OK.
